Cohlmia Marketing is a full-service advertising agency offering integrated marketing and media buying services. Originally established in 1995 by Melissa Cohlmia, the firm was purchased in 2006 by her sister, Carol Skaff Streckfus, an accredited public relations professional with experience in the agency and corporate worlds. Continuing the momentum of its first decade, Cohlmia Marketing’s service model is predicated on strategic, methodical brand development for long-term, relationship-oriented clients.
In 2011, Cohlmia Marketing moved from its first location in Wichita’s Old Town to another historic building in Delano, the original Travel Air Manufacturing Company. After enjoying nearly 10 years at the Delano location, Cohlmia Marketing decided to return to its Old Town roots in July 2020, settling into 618 E. Douglas Ave. The 2,400 square foot space is the ground floor of a building owned by Ken and Tena Stoppel and once was home to their company, Building Controls and Services. Built around 1912, 618 E. Douglas Ave. is a contributing structure in the East Douglas Avenue National Register Historic District and was originally Hotel Joplin.
From our storefront, we are surrounded by the activity and vibrance of the Wichita Downtown community. On any given day, the sidewalk outside is populated with shoppers, businesspeople, residents and dog walkers. We share a wall with Gallery Alley and have a front-row seat to both the redeveloped Naftzger Park and the historic Union Station railroad overpass. We are within walking distance of beloved Wichita retail shops and restaurants including some of our personal favorites—Old Mill Tasty Shop, Espresso To Go Go, Paradise Donuts and HomeGrown!
With so much activity going on around us, it’s a wonder we get any work done, but we do, and plenty of it. A glance through our portfolio will provide a sampling of the strategic tools we provide to our clients every day.
